Karmand Community Centre

A vibrant and welcoming community centre in the heart of Bradford East with something for everyone. Operating since 1983, the centre has become a valued service provider to the local community.

We have great facilities and offer a wide range of courses and activities. We provide indoor and outdoor sports, pre-school, elderly care, youth activities. exercise classes, free workshops and community support services. Karmand Community Centre have a great choice of rooms that you can hire for parties, wedding receptions, meetings, training, sports etc. So whatever you want to do, get in touch or pop in to see us, we are here to help.

• Open Access Play Scheme

  During the school holidays children can take part in free activities, sports and special workshops. The scheme runs from 10am to 3pm most days at the centre.

• Workshops

  Workshops and activities take place every Monday and Tuesday 6pm to 9pm.

• Play Outreach

  Children can come out and play, talk to youth workers about their ideas and have fun outside (even when it is cold and raining if they want to!!!)

• The Play Team

  Core youth staff are expected to hold, or be working towards, an accredited qualification in youth work or childcare and also have a minimum qualification in first aid, child protection, food hygiene, inclusion and a full service induction. They are also expected to have an understanding of children’s play needs and a commitment to providing an inclusive play environment.
